Summary
I obtained a Master's degree in Physics from The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Zagreb in 2020. After completing a Master thesis project investigating electrochemical properties of organic electrolytic photocapacitors (OEPCs) for neuroscientific applications, I decided to pursue scientific research in the topic of neuroscience. In November 2020 I joined Laboratory of Biosensors and Bioelectronics (LBB) as a PhD student to study connectivity properties and information flow and storage in low-density, spatially patterened in vitro biological neuronal networks. Using the advantage of reduced complexity of our neuronal systems, I try to bridge the gap between in vitro and in silico, developing in parallel a simulation of our networks in the NEURON Simulation Environment.
Research Interests

Student projects
If you are a motivated student interested in doing a semester project or a thesis in our lab, do not hesitate to send me an email. I am currently searching for students with background in engineering/biomedical engineering, physics and computer science. There is a variety of projects spreading from purely computational (image analysis, simulation optimization using machine learning tools) to hybrid (in vitro stimulation experiments with low-density, 2-input-1-output neuronal networks and data analysis).
