Research Interests
My main research interest lies in learning how to "speak the language of neurons". My PhD project is about exploring how to harness the information-processing, learning, and adaptive capabilities of biological neural networks to use them as bio-hybrid, intelligent agents. To achieve this, I am developing optimised and adaptive stimulation-based learning mechanisms, applied to cultured neuronal networks embodied within a physically grounded, sensory–motor environment.
Education
My higher education started with a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and Technology, here at ETH Zurich, starting in September 2020. Slightly changing the direction of my studies to focus more on engineering rather than biology, I then completed my Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on bioelectronics, also at ETH Zurich, from September 2023 to March 2026. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD at LBB, starting from April 2026.
